Parenting · Together + separate sessions
Parenting through separation
For separating or divorcing parents building a safe two-home routine for their children.

Telling the children, a co-parenting plan, handover days and the rules in both homes; sessions together or separately.
These sessions are not about saving the marriage but about continuing to parent after the decision to separate. The legal process runs separately; we focus on the child’s everyday life.
What do we work on?
We plan how to tell the children together, in language that suits their age. We put the weekly routine, religious holidays and school breaks, how handover days will work and which rules stay the same in both homes into a written parenting plan.
If coming together is not possible
Some parents find it hard to be in the same room. In that case we see each parent separately and build the shared plan through us. If a session with the child is needed, it is planned only with both parents’ consent and in a way that suits the child’s age.
How long does it take? Usually 4–8 sessions; planned follow-ups are optional.
Who is it for?
- Parents who have just decided to separate and are thinking about how to tell the children
- Families trying to build a routine between two homes after divorce
- Parents who often disagree on handover days and holidays
- Parents planning for a new partner to meet the children
When might it not be the right fit?
- There is a suspicion of violence or abuse towards the child or a parent: the relevant authorities must be contacted first
- The sessions are requested for a report to be submitted to court: we do not write expert reports
If this applies to you, let’s talk openly on the first call; we will point you to the right place. In an emergency, call 112 (the emergency number in Türkiye).
How does the process unfold?
The blue and plum lines stand for the two partners: rows where they run side by side are joint sessions, rows where they part are separate sessions.
